Made a repair disc

Bootrec fixmbr commands don't seem to work, computer gets stuck at loading screen

Should I just reinstall or is there a way to salvage this? Maybe get a new hdd

yes it can be salvaged.
format is fastest way to insure no issues.

Is there important data on the drive you want or no?

i do have data on there that i want to salvage, thinking of installing windows on a new drive and retrieving what i can

currently looking at charts of ssd's with failure rates by manufacturer, any suggestions/recommendations?

boot with linux live disk or usb see if you can extract files first if not we will rebuild the partition/MBR.

If the HDD is a GPT-formatted disk, then there is no MBR. And bootrec is an old command. Use bcdboot to repair boot files.
