Hello all.

Just recently upgraded my CPU+Mobo, and with that I did a fresh install of Windows 10 Professional.
My monitor is a 24" Dell P2415Q. However, I have this problem I tried googling but I couldn't find anything that helped me. I was previously on Windows 7 and it wasn't happening then.

Whenever I visit a webpage with a black background, or even my desktop (I changed my background to a image of space objects) my screen auto dims, to the point where I need to squint my eyes to see.
It's not a serious problem but it's kind of annoying, I tried looking through the settings of the monitor and could not find anything related.

If anyone knows of a solution to this please welcome.

Tried this mate :(
Adaptive brightness was already off when I checked for that! Thanks.

Some monitors also have an Adaptive Brightness setting.

Turn off Dynamic Contrast on your monitors control panel.
