Just lost half my usb ports. In device manager is says unknown usb device. Device descriptor request failed. And
superspeed usb hub (non functional)
I went to Asus downloaded the latest usb and chipset drivers and newest bios
So far nothing has worked any ideas?
Mobo is an Asus maximus IV

Try it w/o the USB hub. ??

In device manager

Press uninstall on all usb roots and reboot pc

I have no hub installed the only thing I have plugged into usb is my mouse and keyboard. Those are plugged into the lower usb ports the upper usb ports don't see anything if it's plugged in.I have uninstalled everything not working right in device manager and rebooted and it still shows up as not functioning correctly

I uninstalled everything usb and restarted. I had to manually reinstall my usb 3.0 drivers but it didn't fix it
