Heyho.

I was wondering if it's possible to run the Geforce Gtx 960 with a 350 Watt power adapter?

The thing is: my current gfx card starts making noise when it gets hotter than 60°C. Additionally, this is a prebuilt PC, so I didn't build it myself.
Also, as far as I can tell, the gtx 960 has its own socket for power supply (power adapter to the gtx 960) which my current gfx card (gtx 750 TI) doesn't have.
My current graphics card is attached, obviously, to the mainboard, but does not have its own power supply from the power adapter, it gets the electricity from the mainboard I assume.

Question 1:
- Can I run the gtx 960 with a 350 Watt power adapter?

Question 2:
- IF I could run it, does it need its own power supply, or is the power/electricity it gets via the mainboard enough? Because this particular gfx card has , as I said, a socket, but my current power adapter doesn't have a plug to put into that socket :D

And: I bought a new Power Adapter like 2 days ago, but it has 20(24) pins, but my mainboard only has 14 -_-
is there a way to connect it anyways? Like, pluggin the 20 pin plug into the 14 pin socket? :D

I wouldn't run it on a prebuilt PSU

They're 99.99% of the time absolute shit.

The 6 pin PCI-E power is there for a reason.. It needs to be hooked up.

How do I fix the extreme noise of my current gfx card then?

/e I mean, I could buy a new mainboard, install the 500 Watt power adapter I purchased and then install the gfx card?

What do you mean by 'extreme noise'?
