So I'm making this post maybe to inspire the kids or maybe there's a few out there who are wanting to learn about server hardware/software.
Anyway I'll post pics of my rack and servers and if you have anything server related, then post it here too.


Here's my current setup, I'll be posting specs and some more pics of internals later:

That switch, managed or no? I've never seen a netgear in a rack. And why is it in a kitchen?

Don't servers normally belong in the kitchen?

It's managed, Netgear gs724t.
There's a pantry closet in the kitchen area that happened to be the perfect size for the rack....so that's why it's in there.

It's not that uncommon, most are either hobbyists who take their stuff seriously or people who work, or want to work, in IT. There's also folks out there who run servers out of the house that act as data storage for companies that need geographically dispersed backups. Since I don't see a battery in gonna guess op is in the former group.
