A few weeks ago my computer would powerup for 2 seconds then power down everytime I would hit the power button. I bought another motherboard and now it wont power on at all.

Things that changed. This motherboard now has a 8 pin (ATX12v2), my previous motherboard was a 4 pin connector from the powersupply to the board. Anyways on the coolmaster power supply I saw 2 4 pin connectors (one labeled p2). So I figured if I could plugged both 4 pin connectors into the 8 pin connector so it would work. Still nothing.

Now I am thinking it may have been the power supply that is bad.

Coolermaster doesn't make very good PSUs.

If it fails the paperclip test, then you can probably assume you have a dead power supply.
