Okay. So the power source gets to the motherboard. It starts the fans, including the one on top of my cpu. BUT the cpu wont power up... This is weird, considering the last time I had it running the temps were fine.

This is a picture of my running temperatures after these problems arose.

The main problem seems to be that the cpu isn't booting up. You know the lights on the motherboard? It red lights the cpu and then never fully starts up. Whenever it gets passed the cpu the gfx card and everything else starts up and I can run it. I tried switching wires.... I tried doing w.e....

My question as to what the problem is? Is my motherboard malfunctioning? My motherboard isnt fully fastened in... it didn't come with enough screws for it. Is this the problem?

I'm honestly thinking about calling in or dropping my computer off at a tech repair place and having them fiddle around with it and figure it out....

Anybody have any suggestions or know the price for something like that?

I'VE DONE EVERYTHING. The only thing I haven't done is taken off the cooler and reapplied thermal paste (it looks like its still in the same spot as it was when I put it on, the paste doesn't decay right?).
I've switched out old wires with new extra ones (this computer setup isn't even a year old).

I don't know what to do. Please help.

Okay I think I got it all connected....

Things plugged into the PSU: Cpu1, Motherboard, VGA1 & 2 (both plugged into GFX Card), Sata 1 (My SSD), all wires from the case except case fans (I think I have them in right).
Cooler plugged into motherboard and on top of CPU, running fine. GFX card is not running. Red light on motherboard still on for the CPU. It is in the same condition as before.
Monitor plugged into wall and into GFX card.
I moved the GFX card twice on the board. Once in the original position that I always used (it did not work), and once on the far end, it is still not working.

Any advice?

What if I plug monitor into integrated on motherboard? Would this help me find something out? (This is part of repost, this is it all plugged in outside of the case)

The integrated didn't work either even after I removed the GFX card.

Just because fans spin does not mean its supplying enough power.
I'd first start with disconnecting all non essentials then if nothing boots swap out psu.

first test, no ram,hd,optical drives,gpu
just cpu / mobo / psu (unless you have no onboard gpu then connect gpu)

this should generate a BIOS beep error showing mobo is functioning.
After try 1 ram stick in the appropriate slot.(refer to manual or online)

if nothing swap out psu if it boots re-add one thing at a time.

/edit
after swapping psu if nothing still either mobo or cpu is bad, I'd say mobo as cpus rarely die out.

Okay so I do not have another psu to test this unfortunately... I have a shop around here that says they have 20 dollar diagnostic fee which doesn't sound all too bad.... It sounds like they would have what they need there to check it out.

I did what you said. Only the MB, CPU, start switch, and monitor are connected, the monitor being connected to the integrated.

No screen coming up.

You can buy a psu and return it if its not the psu for a refund.
just say something like i bought the wrong wattage or some shit.

only mb/cpu and what about ram? did you get a bios beep error if you had no ram in it?

oops forgot to take out ram.

nope no beep error from ram... It red lights on the cpu spot. So it means MB or CPU right?

Jumper the bios to clear it or remove battery.
unplug the pc from power then hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain circuts.
now try same thing if still no beep it's 95% chance to be mobo and maybe 5% cpu.

Should I have the battery removed while Ipower it up? There was no beep, I did what you said but I also put the battery back in.
