Can anyone give me a reason I shouldn't get this for $300? Roommate is a manager at a buy/sell/trade electronics and media (games, movies, etc.) store. This came in recently and he said it's in great shape. Seems solid for the price. Thoughts?

I was thinking that, but I'm finding few issues people have with it. Some people complained it's not "smart" enough (it doesn't have Skype which apparently is a valued feature to idiots who don't own computers) and some people said it is somehow "cheap" looking. Not sure how a 4k 65" tv can be cheap..?

Edit: There's gotta be more negatives, right? Or am I just gonna get lucky with this deal?

That's a no brainer right there. Buy it. You can't beat that price at all.

I recently bought a hisense 55 inch 4k smart tv for 381.67 off amazon and that was still a great deal for a chinese tv and it's about as low as you'll get for that size.

A 65 inch 4k smart LG tv for 300? buy buy buy.

Read my posts on it. With a tiny bit of brain power I'm sure you can figure it out.

LG's LED/LCD TVs are pretty bad compared to most of the competition but jesus christ 300 dollars for a 65" TV ? That's a fucking steal no matter how poor the blacks / native contrast are.

Just found this performance analysis from Rtings.com of this TV, they pretty much confirmed what I said in my post above:

Conclusion: terrible blacks / ANSI contrast, but once calibrated the colours are extremely accurate. 6.8/10


^ but that's considering full price.. not 300 dollars.
