I have had problems with net for quite a while now. I connect via wifi because the router is too far away to run an ethernet cord to. The first wireless adapter i bought was ass and disconnected constantly. I gave it to him when he fixed his desktop and it worked perfectly 100%. His computer is older and maintained poorly. I use Win10 and he uses Win7 though. Every single adapter i've ever bought has not given my consistent internet. Overall it's very solid but will suffer for occasional hiccups. This makes competitive gaming very difficult. Would Win10 be causing this issue? I would doubt it but shit i've been amazed in the past. I've moved rooms and i'm overall closer to the router than my room mate is but i still have problems.
Currently i use this wireless card:
