I recently added a new hdd to my computer.

Now when I go to push the power button there is a 1.5 sec delay after hitting it. It wont power on for about 1.5 secs.

Why is this happening and is it an issue?

If no data in drive
Unplug the new HDD from pc.
Boot windows.
Plug in HDD
Format HDD
Restart and you should be good.

If you haven't done the below....
Ensure you have your "old hhd" set to be the drive that tries to boot first. I suspect it's not and its trying to read the new HDD. You can do this in the bios under something with a similar name to boot priority

Longer post sequence due to another hard drive.

Trust me it takes my computer about a good 10-15 seconds to hit bios after power.

How many hdd?

2x hdd and a sd

So that would make it so It wont power on the computer until about 2 secs?( lights/fans/power doesnt kick on for almost 2 secs.)

Normal?

Are you sure the mobo isn't powered during that time?



3 ssds + whatever else in my ports + OC

unplug your new hdd's power and see if it's still doing the same thing
