I have a element ELEFW408 its a 40 inch tv.

A lightning surge took out my hdmi ports not really an issue just annoying i use a componet now the 3 yellow red black prongs..

Anyhow on to my issue.

I have a VGA to hdmi converter i used because the tv had vga output and i watch movies on my computer to my tv quite often

Now since using that vga once im having a serious overscan issue a good 5 inches of the left side of my 40 inch screen is cut off.

There is now menu for turning off overscan with element electroncs. Soo... how do i fix this ?

Last of my FG goes to anybody who can help me resolve this issue...

http://imgur.com/qpF83rL Pic of took of the tv.

Changing from widescreen to normal does nothing However on normal mode it is watchable but it just centers the picture Have tried re adjusting it using my Gforce control pannel
but no such luck its like the screen is just jacked to the right... and there is no controll panel menu to adjust it...

All of my FG for a good working explanation.... Because im about to just say the hell with it and drop 300 bucks on a new tv.

Im posting this in the Computer help section because the tv was fine untill i hooked it up to my computer ;0

but the resolution of the tv stays the same regardless of what i have that monitor set to....

Edit

No matter what i change it to wide screen or what ever that few inches on the left stays cut off

First pic the Advanced tab is greyed out mind you this is why it is connected the cable box.

/edit 2.

The over scan option here is still cutting off those edges. hmm Gonna try a factory reset.\ now that i can factory reset this thing.

did a factory reset on it and that thing on the edge is still there perhaps im missing something.
