for reference my CPU is an AMD FX-6300 and I have it OC'd at 4GHz

So ever since I OC'd my CPU if I put my PC to sleep and wake it up later, the system time appears to fall behind for a while (which has some effects on some games as well)
I very recently redid my OC to try and fix it, but seems it didn't help

Another issue that I've had happen with this (have yet to check if it's still happening) is that I've had some programs displaying refresh rates over what they should be capped at (144 cap, seen 164 sometimes when this issue arises)
also of note that the fps difference of 20 is the same number used to set my OC to 4GHz, so I'm curious if that has anything to with it

thing is when it goes to sleep it's cause I put it to sleep, not cause it's been on for x amount of time

ok so the sleep function may not be the main issue as I'm seeign the extra 20fps over what stuff is capped at and I haven't put it to sleep yet
my clock is not being effected seemingly though

for the next part needs screen shots of your nvidia/ccc settings and in game settings
along with monitor model.
If its a steam game I need the options from steam also to review.

Pretty sure its a user error and not related to your OC at all.

also include what your using to view your fps

it's an issue across multiple games, varying on where they are, and at times I've had them 144 capped, then originally after I woke it up i could see 164 frames cap instead (apparently vsync option in wow stopped this, but max foreground fps without vsync would go 20 above)

it varies on games, it happens in God Eater as well, but not displayed by the steam fps counter, and the it desyncs the cutscenes though (only realized it was probably my issue when i didn't have a desync when playing after a fresh restart)

vsync locks fps without it its going to jump around.
Your screens capped at 144hz means it can't show better not that your fps counter can't push more.

I'm not grasping what your getting tbh I thought you meant with vsync on your fps goes higher

no like the wow settings

this is with vsync off but with a max foreground fps set to 144, it goes as high as around 164, runescape has also done the same thing to me before

I don't play wow tbh
but your fps will go higher if your card can generate more fps.

maybe google that specific issue with wow.
I doubt all your games have an fps lock like this.
