the fans on my GPU start to spin for 1-2 seconds and then stop for around same ammount of time, and this repeats itself for some time then goes back to normal

perhaps someone know what this behaviour means ? is it normal ?

edit:
GPU temperature 58-59c
GPU type 970ti with 3 fans

gpu fan kicks in at a certain temp the fan reduces it below threshold and the process repeats.

strange since when it did that,i looked at one of the utilities to see gpu temperature and it was same 58-59 at which it spins constantly most of the time :0

Some Gpu's dont turn on the fan until it reaches 60c.

Using GeForce precision you can default your fan speeds at startup or keep it on auto which will kick it in either at a certain temp, it's up to you to play with the utility's program for your best fit, I.e go through the settings

you can also put a custom bios and set whatever fan profile you want within it

got a Gigabyte OC guru program to control my gpu fans manually and the start stops so far are gone, weird GPU noises are gone

now with the standard manual fan spin settings of this utility my fans average rpm is much higher than it was on auto (around 1400-1800 rpm) even at 40ish C temperature of GPU
these are manual fan spin settings:

obviously with such rmp's the case makes more noise but thats ok and the average temperature of the GPU decreased drastically, it was around 60 before at all times now 3x-45c

do you guys think these new larger fan spin RPM's are healthy tho?
when temp was 61c Rpm was 2178
now temp is 33c RPM is 1440

and is it ok if they are pretty much constant now at 14xx RPM so the fans of the GPU dont get any rest?
