Hey guys, my wife is working to create a digital library for her practice. Currently they just have a one page lift the lid type scanner. She will be scanning multiple documents at once.

Do any of you have experience with scanners that are capable of this? I know at my current job we have the high end enterprise ones that are thousands of dollars and capable of doing this but we are looking for something a bit more reasonable as far as cost goes.

any mid priced document scanners?

Everything I am finding is enterprise.

Thanks!

Alright so that vs something like this

The one I linked is the same printer as this one just with one less document tray. There is a lot more info on this one though:

Not bad, as far as OfficeJet printers go. The big difference would be the number of pages you'd get from the ink/toner. A toner cartridge will be more expensive than an ink cartridge to replace, but you'll generally get vastly more pages from a toner cartridge (what laser printers use).

Good info thank you. This is definitely something I know very little about.

I am primarily purchasing this for the scanning capabilities. Though rather than having two devices and the cost difference being so little I figure I might as well get the combo.

If you don't want to buy a brand new device, you can use a Google drive on a smartphone and scan documents. I use this for work frequently, and it works well. Evernote does the same I believe.

Try eBay for an older used model of one of the professional scanners.
