So I did a clean install of windows 7 on my laptop over the weekend, ive been having issues getting my wifi to work.

I have downlaoded and installed the drivers off of HPs support website
http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv6-6c00-entertainment-notebook-pc-series/5191856/model/5218527?ssfFlag=true&sku=A6Y57UA

I have run updates hoping the wifi driver would be in an update somewhere, with no luck.

I have also tried to manually install the drivers via the Device Manager window with no luck.
Yesterday there were 2 more "unidentified devices" but after I ran my updates they disappeared.

IDK if im crazy or not, but I feel like that "search automatically" went a little fast?
Almost like it didn't even give it time to look for the driver.

I went to your driver link, are you sure that this is the correct model number?

I believe the Ralink driver is the one you want.

I also found this link: http://hpnotebookdrivers.com/hp-pavilion-dv6-6c29wm-entertainment-notebook-pc-windows-7-64-bit-drivers/

Double-click the "Network Controller" in Device Manager, click the Details tab, change the drop down box to Hardware ID, and post a screen shot of the result. Do the same for the PCI Device.
