My mobo and cpu started over heating when I try to encode / upload a video.

They've been at 30-35 all day. I have good airflow. Just cleaned the fans the other day.

They're jumping into the 70's now.


my thermal paste wasn't thick. It was just enough to cover. I've never had this problem until now.. why.........

On my shitter laptop I can upload videos from Elgato with barely a spike, yet my $1200 rig practically lights on fire

You're using 100% of your cpu. It's going to utilize all those other "Fake cores" (hyperthreads) mind you. Also you're on a very cheap air cooler.

70C isnt fire hot.
I agree it's high on stock clock @ evo 212.
But looking on all temps. I could be a combination of bad air flow and badly applied paste.
Try redoing it.

Shit can go up to 90 easy without issues. If you want better temps, Bet a better cpu cooler.
