I have a 4GB of RAM in my PC.
If I add another 4GB stick, will this improve my multitasking?
I like to play games and watch TV at the same time. Will it make that run smoother.
A big culprit is Path of Exile. When I run that and my show, and then try to go on Chrome to look at wiki/forums/etc. I start to bog down/lag. Will an increase in RAM improve this?

If your operating system is 64 bits, then you should have 8GB of RAM ...minimum.

For 32 bit (x86) OS, then you might as well stick with 4GB, because that is all the operating system can see.

Well, these days, most ppl are choosing 16GB of RAM. I guess it would help to know more about your system.

Get SPECCY here: http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download
...get the FREE version from the: Piriform Link
...Speccy is a really nice system hardware/temperature, information Utility.
...simply install it...and run the program...then post a screen shot of the main page of the program, when posting a problem/question on these forums.

Well, PoE is a memory hog, but you are about to melt your computer.

The max. temp for your A8-5600K is 74C (At 100% load)

Max. motherboard temp is 62C (at 100% load)

As for RAM I would just get: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231538

But you need to get those temps down...a LOT. Maybe a better case, more case fans, 3rd party CPU cooler etc.

/e Your A8-500K is probably "throttling" aka...slowing down because of it's temps. So, besides the RAM, the temps are causing your "bogging down".

Are there any fast solutions for my computer heating issue? Why is it so hot? I bought a kit together on newegg or tigerdirect a while back. Why would the kit overheat? Wouldnt they assemble it to not?

Not really. Pre-builts are pretty crappy. They use just what they can get away with, to save money.
Most folks just build their own comps, to avoid this.

I would think that a 3rd party CPU cooler, and a better case would solve your temp problems. But it could also be the thermal paste they used, is drying out.

I would seriously consider, just using that comp for browsing and email...and build yourself a new comp.

open it up and clean out all the dust.
remove the cpu cooler reapply thermal paste.

even shitty prebuilts should not be that hot, has to be thermal paste and dust.
Don't buy anything till you do this.
