Ark Survival Evolved is coming out for ps4 soon
I would like to run a private sever for like me and my son to play on (we both have ps4's)


My question is how much would it cost to get a small server set up to run the game for 2 players
Would internet be required to run it to ps4s in same server

Whats your current rig?
Should be able to run it off that.

Any Joe blow pc will do this

Just need 8 gb ram and some diskspace

4gb ram. which is easily upgradable
amd phenom II x4 965 processor
AMD radeon HD 7700 series

I can hardly run ark on the lowest possible settings lol doubt i can run a server off it

didnt want to dump 250+ to upgrade pc when I already got ps4 and ark is already coming to that later this year

If not, upgrade CPU, shouldnt have to tho

Hosting a server is different then running the game.

Is it going to be cross platform? If not then I don't think you'll be able to host a server on PC and play on ps4.

they are talking about pc support for xbox one right now, which already have the game available.
so it'll be ready for ps4 when it launches in 12/2016 or shortly after

You can get servers off ebay and craigslist for 200-300$.

I got a 8 core 64gb 2u rack mount server for 150$, just needed to add drives.
