Trying to find a solid junction box for my new home, electrician is coming out next work to wire it.

Running cat 6a 15 runs total. I'm super new to this kind of thing. Any ideas on which I should get?

If I'm calling it by the wrong name what I'm looking for is a box that hides in a closet inside the wall that all the Ethernet and coax run into so make everything nice and organized

Is this junction box, for distribution? Extension? What?

You have the box supplying what, 15 rooms or locations? Both coax and Cat6a to all locations?

3 bedrooms a living room and a garage, 2 lines of cat 6a to each room with 2 coax and 2 lines to the garage also.

The living room would get 2 coax and 4 Ethernet because it's open concept and quite large

I will take all advice, I do have a lack of knowledge all suggestions are considered.

The goal is to have all lines running to a supply closet in wall box keeping all cables organized and labeled.

isn't cat 6a a tad overkill?

There should be a local company, that does data distribution. I worked for two such, back in the day. They should be fairly cheap, cause all the cables have already been run. They would just need to do the termination in your closet.
Even if you don't hire them specifically, they would be able to recommend the best ....solution for your situation.

The electrician, unless he does both data and electrical, really won't be able to do more than supply your closet with an outlet, for your router and switch.

What you are doing is usually done with a patch panel.
You would feed your "source data" to the rear of the panel...and the front would have ports. One for the source and 15 for the destinations. Then you would use say 12 inch patch cords to connect the source to w/e destinations you desire.

It is overkill but it's in the budget I'm not having to sacrifice anything to get it and I'm of the opinion if you can you should

/edit

Cat 6a patch panel would just connect to the router?

The router we are looking at is the nighthawk x8 it has 6 Ethernet port switches but won't have enough 1:1. Gah I'm networking impaired lol

I'll check and see if he has cat 5e in stock, if he does then I'm willing to go that route I know we have to order the cat 6a ourselves
