so i moved to a new place finally.
and they have a spot thats a desk area. i have my computer monitor and keyboard on the same desk. the "platform" or the desk, is fixed into the wall.... so i cannot raise the desk up or down.
but my computer chair raised at its highest level, makes it so i place my hands at a very awkward position when using the mouse and/or keyboard.

how can i raise my chair? i was thinking some platform lol.... but then if i roll off, that would be bad.... i honestly dont know wtf to do here lol

i cannot drill into the desk, because it not very sturdy and i cannot really do any permanent changes by drilling holes to attach a keyboard rack underneath. its very weirdly shaped, i may be able to somehow fix on a keyboard tray that slides in and out, if it doesnt require drilling?

Buy a taller chair.

Or you may be able to buy replacement casters that are a little bigger for the wheels.

That is the only thing I can think of.

the chair has always been fine before. a taller chair would have my legs hanging awkwardly. and a new chair would cost alot of $

i need to either raise the chair up somehow. or find a cheap attachable keyboard tray

was looking at keyboard trays to drill underneath. id say fuk it and just drill a few holes. but underneath the desk theres a shitty beam supporting the desk, so i dont think i can fit a tray underneath by drilling

well something thin like this would work, but its way too expensive

this one is cheaper but its the type that would not fit underneath the desk, because of how large of an area thats needed to drill it into place

cool idea thanks.
i see this one, not sure if its longer than the one i have or not. i tried to look for extra long or extra tall gas lifts, but cant find any specifically made to make chairs taller?

I would think...just one of all these...might work for you. :)

/e The gas cylinder was a good idea...but I doubt you'll find one. Who knows...maybe there's a 3rd party gas cylinder manufacturer out there.
