I currently have 3 monitors running, 2 dvi, 1 hdmi, and added a second cheapo card to play movies on my tv.
Now I want to be able to keep the 3 monitors on, but also be able to game on the TV.
The card has 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort.
Can I use a hdmi to displayport adapter to run my TV?
Or do I have to have another card to accomplish this?

Google results showed up irrelevant answers, none pertaining to running 4 monitors, and whether I'll be able to smoothly run games on the TV while keeping the other 3 monitors on.

Thank you in advance.

Best cable for the TV is HDMI, use the others (with adapters as needed) for the monitors.

You're gonna melt that GTX 760 though. :)

Apparently it CAN run 4 displays. Doesn't say if the card will survive or not. :D

So... bad idea? lol. Should I just get a second card?
I really just want to play Fallout 4 on my tv so I can lay in bed and relax lmao.

Yes it can run them, I just don't know if I care to test it lol. I will only be using the TV to run Fallout 4 and having nothing running on the 3 monitors while playing..

All of my monitors have vga/dvi, I'd have to get a displayport to dvi adapter or cord.

Like I said, I would run straight HDMI to the TV...do w/e you have to for the monitors.

/e Monitors are a lot more forgiving, than TVs are.

/ee What I can't figure out is why you need 3 monitors AND a TV? Especially if the monitors won't be doing anything, while you're Fallout 4-ing on the TV.

I would just retire a monitor or two. Be nice to your lil' old GTX 760 :)

I just don't feel like switching cords when I want to play on my tv lmao. it's a pain to get to them and my display settings get all jacked up!

You don't have to "switch" cords. Just set everything up...once...with HDMI to the TV and everything else to the monitors.

hdmi is also the most common & easy input cable for tv's, though
i mean you could get one with displayport maybe? but..

you will be fine, just remember sometimes you'll have to switch main monitor in windows or nvidia cp for games to open on the tv and dont forget to switch back too
