Going back to school in September - looking to fill some time voids in my schedule so want to pick up a laptop I can game on/kill time with.
Looking to spend ~1000 USD (can go higher if need be but I don't need to go full retard)
Play mostly LoL but wouldn't mind the ability to play something a little more higher end.
Current desktop is 8+ years old so it will also be replacing that. Original plan was building a new desktop but with deciding to go back to school I figured a laptop would be a better investment for the time being.
Haven't dealt with laptops much, is a "gaming" laptop actually worth the extra price to play something like LoL (no need to play it on HQ graphics, just need it to have quick load times and not fuck off on me)
Any suggestions on specific laptops, brands, certain specs to lean toward or stay away from?
Would prefer to order from amazon (have ~400 in gift cards) but open to any retailer as well.
