Basically..I have a 300-400$ budget to build a new P/C that can handle WoW/CS-GO/D2 (D2 obv isn't a big deal) on max/ultra settings.

I'm not exactly a computer wiz, just basic knowledge.

Is there anyone here who would be able to help me build this and stay within budget to perform the above tasks?

I'm not looking to play high-end games.
I know WoW (Legion) just dropped a new Sys. Req. List to play their game.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Looking to buy a P/c in the next two weeks when the money is right!

Cute. :/

Anything built for $400 is gonna be crap. You know it as well as I do.

CPU = $100
Case & PSU = $100
Vid card = $100

Ram & HDD = $100

...doesn't leave much for mobo. And that's assuming he wants crap. :(

yea he wants to max cs go and wow

id assume wow prob is the most intensive game and yea prob wont be able to always max it at 60 fps for 400 bucks

id say if he upped it to 500 bucks could be a bit more realistic

and would help if he could re use any parts from an older build

then again, its been quite a long time since i looked up the price of hardware, but im sure he can get by with a bit old models of gpu and stuff for a cheaper build

Also, ghot.... can you even make a build thats under $600? :o

@op do u have an older build that you used to use? if so, list the parts. to see if u can maybe re use anything to save money

A minimum gaming computer cost is around $800 assuming that you own all the peripherals (mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers, windows). It can be done for slightly less sometimes but not by much.

For $300-$400 look on craglist with a computer with these specs:

phenom x4 965
ATI 5850 (or higher)
8gb ram

The intel counterpart would be an I5 but I don't think anyone is going to sell an any decent I5 rig for that cost.

Basically even though the processor and graphics card is coming on 7 years old it will still play the games you mentioned on high/ultra easily with enough FPS.

2400 ram cuz it'll downclock to 2133 and it's not much more expensive, plus u can use the ram again in the future.
best quality case under $30, atm unless u wanna spend more for side window and bottom mount psu case.
