Anyone know if a Kensington ssdnow 1.8 drive will fit and work to replace the hdd presently in the old Asus s56c laptop?

If it's an Asus s56cA, then it takes a 2.5" wide drive. They come in different thicknesses though, and that's not in the specs.

The only way to be able to discover if it will fit, is to open it up and find out.

Hmm disheartening haha I may just google to see what drives people have successfully used and switch to that.

I mean the connector itself will fit. But the screws or brackets or w/e hold the SSD in, may not fit.

fill gaps with foam, cut up a sponge.

Yeah, that will work. But then the SSD is being held in ONLY by the connectors. That would worry me.
