goes to bios menu but keyboard wont respond

2 beep intervals... i made sure all cords are connected and ram / gfx card was in but nothing...

i let it sit for a minute beeping and then it starts up... happened 2 times in a row now

/e all drivers are up to date also

my brother and i were trying to fix it / google problems and...

now i can get it to manual start (he figured that out.. prolly could have done this last night) board code says E6

i have dp67bg intel board.. i have seen all kinds of problems regarding this cant really narrow down what it is. we updated bios but did not reset them yet (im going to bed soon so when i shut it off i dont wanna try turning it back on) just gonna go ahead and bump this up to 500fg for a fix that i dont have to buy new mobo or send it in ect...

If by 2 beep intervals" you mean 2 beeps, pause, 2 beeps ...etc., that is indicating an issue with your vid card.

What CPU do you have? If it is a CPU with and Integrated Graphics part (IGP), try removing the video card, hooking the monitor up to the motherboard, and seeing if it will boot.


I can't find anything on an E6 post code. I downloaded two different versions of the motherboard manual...neither lists E6

E6 = Started connecting drivers

Error indicated another device aside from cpu/mobo/ram is cause the halt.
Though a bad board/cpu can cause all kinds of misc errors.

First boot with bare min.
If you have an onboard gpu then mobo/cpu/1stick ram (add gpu if no onboard)
if it does not boot add a different stick of ram to same slot. if nothing still remove ram and see if you get a ram error if not its the board/cpu
if it posts start adding 1 item back at a time. once you isolate the troublesome part try swapping cables or the device to fix issue.

i dont have onboard gpu i dont think... we tried ram no change so im guessing mobo is bad? i dont understand why i can manually start it

i mean if i hit f10 in bios then select the hard drive it will run everytime
