So on tuesday, WoW release the pre expansion patch for legion.
Since then my graphics have been a complete disaster.
In my frustration, I wiped both c: and d: drives, reinstalled windows 10, updated my drivers.
Redownloaded 60gb's of WoW, installed. Still having the issue.
From what I've read on the forums nobody else is having this problem, just FPS drops since the patch.
So is my laptop gpu going bad?
Specs and pictures below, thanks in advance.

alienware 14
i7 4700mq
gtx 765m
8gb ram

Forgot to mention;
I ran GPU-Z last night and at times the load was 100%, mostly around 40-60%.
The temp was 55-65 degrees.

I had an error twice last night saying my nvidia driver stopped responding?
I updated in right off the nvidia website, not sure what else I can do.

Does it only glitch out in wow or does it glitch out in other games or tasks as well?

Damn is this what wow has come too? Oh how the mighty have fallen.

kidding aside. I saw an issue like this a while ago. it sounds like the game updated and as a result you updated your drivers as a troubleshoot? if the new drivers aren't in the wow system yet or the patch had issues with your previous drivers that weren't updated on the blizzard side right away you could be having these issues as a result. It might be something they have to fix on their end. I would contact support and ask if A ) your previous drivers were having known issues with the update or B ) if the updated drivers are too new and blizzard hasn't added them to the database yet.

A more likely scenario is that the game is having trouble finding your GPU. If your laptop, and I assume it does, has graphics switching between intel iris graphics and the GTX this could be the source of your issue. The patch could have introduced issues with how wow utilizes your system resources. Especially being a big patch from the sounds of it things could have gotten jumbled around. Normally the system is left to decide whether the CPU or GPU handle a graphics task. This is to save energy and reduce heat. But if something got screwy and your system doesn't realize it needs to switch or wow can't find your GPU then the whole thing is being run off your CPU. This would explain the stuff you see in your first two pictures. A wow tech support agent can help you figure out if your GPU is being utilized correctly.

Best of luck

I ran gpu-z while running wow and it shows WoW being ran by the gpu. Is that what you mean?

I see there are different driver updates released on Jul 14/Jul 6/Jun 7/May 23 Etc .. I'm installing the Jun 7 version now to see if it does anything.

The colors weren't changing but the graphics were flickering/flashing.
I only had about 15 minutes in game though.

It may be time to try a different game and see what happens

Download this, Run it a few loops & see if the graphics fuck up on it too.
