Is Black Friday normally a good time to buy or is it all a hoax? I am curious when the best time to get super deals is.

Cyber Monday? Black Friday? Whenever a deal comes around it just comes around? lol

I've built average computers recently but in the future I would love to build a crazy rig. Something around $2,500.

Should I wait for a special day or just keep an eye out for random sales that are irresistible and build up slowly?

Damn, so I'll have to wait a bit. Black Friday and all those special holidays don't have amazing deals, then? (normally)

It doesn't really matter when you buy something.

Yes, February "tends" to be cheaper, as sites will be unloading stock from after the holidays.

Ofc, the best time to buy is right after a new and better product line is released...like what's happening with the GTX 970s, 980s and 980 Ti s, right now.

Short version, don't hold your breath. Make a build at Pcpartpicker and keep an eye on it. Pcpartpicker will keep an eye on the prices and about an hour or two after it goes on sale, let's say on Amazon or such, Pcpartpicker will reflect the new sale price.

over 3 weeks is fine, plenty of sales will come and go. More than a month and you risk new products coming out that can beat the price/ performance of what you have.

Ugh that would be true if you hold shit in a box and see that it's DOA.. XD

Most things have decent time warranties, though, don't they?
