Does thermal paste go anywhere besides where the CPU & heat sink make contact? I just bought a tube of some silver ultra-sexy thermal paste off newegg. I've never heard of it being put anywhere else, but just checking. Thanks yo.

A great idea if you have the correct paste. Lot of heat on gpus.. tends to dry some of them or heat up too fast for the cure period.

I've never taken apart my GPU, so do you think it is necessary? If it will benefit me, I'll do it. I have a NVIDIA 8800 GTS.

Your card sucks, tbh. I wouldn't do it on a card that doesn't get to 75c easily.

Meh, it doesn't suck, it's just old. Haven't had any reason to replace it.

Diablo 2 isnt very graphically demanding, this is true. New games made in the past 6 years need more power.

The only game I really play on my PC is minecraft. I played around with SC2 and didn't see many problems though.

But, that's besides the point, lol. Would it benefit me to put thermal paste on its GPU?

PC Wizard says my CPU's cores are running at 59, 56, 58, and 57, and my GPU is running at 85
