Budget is $400 (what my wife wants to spend) but can go up to 600ish if it's a huge difference (like an added GPU).

Also curious if I should wait until father's day or the 4th of July if prices normally drop around then? I've never bought a laptop before, have only built pc's.

I'm seeing a lot of options all over, from 40gb memory and trash cpu's to decent ones and only 8gb.

Main workload of the laptop will be my wife's job and side of osrs and d2r. So nothing too huge to ask of. Potentially WoW classic.

There's a significant performance difference between the two, obviously go for the MSI if the budget allows. Could potentially find a similar 3060 build within the same price range.

Do you know of a time laptops go on big sales?

That msi would be amazing if it went on sale haha

I find the best deals before a big holiday. The week before Father's Day would be a decent time to look.

400 $ for D2R? I’d think about that again.. Personally I wouldn’t buy such laptop even for browsing internet. How long it gonna last if it’s already too slow.

If you're willing to go in person to Microcenter, you can get this with a 4050 for $700. Might be a bit overkill though

Here's one too with a 3050 for a bit cheaper: https://www.microcenter.com/product/676307/acer-nitro-v-anv15-51-54ul-156-gaming-laptop-computer-platinum-collection-obsidian-black
