Take drive out and test with another computer or use same computer with different OS/installation, using CrystalDiskInfo.

Which Operating system ?

Can you reach safe mode with command prompt?
I can assist.

When the PC is starting up hold shift and keep repeating hitting f8 to get into safe mode you likely have to repair the mbr (master boot record) or run chkdsk /f /r

you can also force it to get to recovery mode by turning the pc off abruptly 3x.

Take a look at https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/ish_5000477-5000532-16

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-your-pc-in-safe-mode-in-windows-92c27cff-db89-8644-1ce4-b3e5e56fe234

Will show you step by step instructions.

Sounds like your harddrive or operation system got corrupt. If you have another PC and a USB flashdrive you can put Hirens on it to move data from that drive to another if it's still readable, or use it to get into command prompt to do the sfc /scannow command to try to repair your OS.
