My PC is quite outdated, but still running strong.

I have a 980ti GPU with 32gigs of ddr4 @ 3200mhz.

I have been holding off as the new gen GPU’s are just wildly expensive.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

The best time to build is when you're unsatisfied with your current system performance.

Yeah.

It works perfectly to fine, but I have noticed some degradation when I am playing newer games.

I want to be fully ready for GTA 6 😎

I wouldn't hold my breath for gta6. If they follow the same release schedule as 5 and RDR2, PC won't receive the game until a year+ after the game has released on consoles.

This ^
Also the next generation of graphics cards should drop before GTA6 comes to PC. I'd wait it out since either prices will drop, or there may be a good card to buy from the next gen that will fit your needs

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Since my current rig is working just fine as is.

2025 appears to be the time to build

Thanks All!

Dont wait on one game to upgrade. If you can afford it and really want to do it then upgrade. Remember if you are jumping to a higher end gpu you need to make sure your current setup can handle it. You will most likely need a new psu/mobo to handle the needs of one of those cards.
