Good morning all.

So I'm having some problems with my desktop recently.

It was built in 2014 so it's practically a dinosaur I understand that :lol:

But I have played games like doom eternal and ark and it ran fine.

Problem ->

Recently sometimes when I open up a web browser, the computer basically freezes. Doesn't continue with the loading, doesn't error and exit, just stops.

Sometimes it can sorta move forward but can't really do aNytBing, like I can minimize the window But Not cLose it. It doesn't BSOD, it just sorta hangs and does nothing.

Sometimes if playing music it will repeat one note.

This all happens though if I open up a web browser. But only sometimes.

I checked with speccy and it appears everything is still healthy for hardware, But maybe it's not testing the right way?

Anyone have some troubleshooting procedures or potential issues it could be?

Thank you all the internet experts for your help!

Likely storage related.

Is your OS drive close to full? Ssd or hdd? Download CrystalDiskInfo and check the health of your drive.

Looks okay. It’s sounds like software could be causing your system to hang. If it’s just your browser casing the issue, try a different browser. I normally will do a fresh install of Windows for simplicity sake, ruling out software as a whole.
