I got an 11 year old who wants a gaming PC, he'll be playing fortnite on it. I don't wanna spend much because I'm sure the fortnite PC idea will be short lived. When I googled tiger direct a few Amazon pcs popped up and walmart refurbished ofc but that doesn't matter to me as like as it has a warranty. But I seen 299$ to 600$ so within this price range will work for me. Anyone got a solid recommendation?

Is the intention of this to be a multiple use device or strictly for gaming? Tbh, look into potentially a steam deck, monitor, dock, and keyboard/mouse. Portable in case he wants to play it mobile, but can still dock for a KB and Mouse feel. Limited to Steam OS, but really not a bad option.

He's just gonna play fortnite on it, no other game. He went months without playing it but the kids in his class play it so he's started back. He plays madden and 2k but he wants to keep playing those on the PS5. He believes he'll become better with a PC on fortnite. I seen a whole kit earlier for 529$ came with everything.

Look for a prebuilt with an i5 or i7 and RTX 3060, 24" 1080P Monitor 144hz (if monitor matters)
