My brother in law is a carpenter doing some design work in 3D. He needs a new laptop but doesn't want to spend more than 1000$ on it.

Any tips?

That will do great.

You can also snag a laptop with RTX 3060, performance is similar, if not slightly better and has more cuda cores.
