Is it being smart knowing that it can’t run ultra on certain games?

Like on games like Arkham knight it still show high as highest. This game doesn’t have ultra? Hunt showdown has high as highest too.

What's the VRAM usage at in these titles? Maybe it's capping your settings but not an issue I've ever heard of or ran into.
