Yea should be pretty simple question. I’m not the best with coolers or understanding. I’ve read it generally runs hot. It’s 60c idle with the crappy stock cooker. I’ve never done liquid and know nothing of the sort. I do have a scythe kotetsu mark 3 but the thing is massive like it doesn’t fit on the cpu or even in my case but says it fits for am4. Open to suggestions or if anyone can give me advice on installing this thing I already do have. Thanks in advance.

Yeah the scythe kotetsu mark 3 isn't even that big, so if you're out of space I'd consider going with a 240 aio. No need for understanding of water cooling mechanics, it's a closed loop, you just plug & play.

More or less any 240 aio would be adequate to cool your 7 5800x

Thanks for the response. I’ll see what I can do for it but I think my ram gets in the way with the kotetsu- it’s like twice as big as the current wraith cooler. If I need to find one smaller I’ll look into what you’ve suggested. I just didn’t want to have to buy 5 different products to get what I need and what will cool it best.

Totally understand. That scythe is designed to clear ram (unless it's oversized maybe) so you should be good to go. May need to add 1x 120mm fan on the cooler as a pull config to help it along as it is a mid tier cooler and it doesn't have TDP information on it, just a thought.

Got it. That shits a tight fit for sure for my case lol. Either way it runs idle still what I’d consider pretty high. I’ll look into getting another fan as you’ve suggested to put with it and see if that helps. Appreciate it!
