currently playing d4, and im getting 30 FPS. doesn't feel great. I also play lost ark from time to time, d2r, LoL, osrs, CS2 when it comes out, new titles as they come out etc

got a 1080, i7 6700k, 16 gb ram, 2560 x 1440 display.

i built in 2017 and ran everything seamless. that is seeming to be no more. i was thinking of waiting a year or for next gen to upgrade. thoughts?

Are u playing st 1440p? Try and reduce to 1080p and see if that helps a bit.

Even if you do upgrade ull need a whole new pc because the cpu will bottleneck any new gpu by a lot. Also it depend on ur budget, that will decide what gpu to go for and ive checked the difference between 3070 ti and 4070ti
There is a 50% performance difference but also a 2 year waiting gap.
So go with either 40xx from nividia or 7xxx from amd

If dropping resolution doesn’t yield much better results, your CPU is the limiting factor. It’s a K SKU, overclock the snot out of it.

Its probably your ram , either need to clock it higher, or get better/new/more ram.
The beta runs @16GB ram just on 1080P , and you only have 16GB ram, which means you have 0 GB / none remaining, to run your operating system.
Its most likely bumping you down to 30 FPS to compensate / function.
