hello

i recently picked up a new fiber optic internet service, and the company provided me with a router (xplornet hub 5)

it seems i can't use a VPN with this one, and i want to order espn+ which is not available in canada without a VPN

just wondering if someone can tell me how complicated the transition is to switch to a new router

also if someone can recommend a good router that i can set up with a VPN

thank you!

It's pretty simple usually. Plug in new one and set up, then log into the old one and set to bridge mode.

i decided to try to do it just by setting up vpn on my computer, but now i am at another brick wall, not being able to subscribe to espn+ without an american billing address!

Maybe you could try using an american gift card (and just set up some random address on their registration online?)

unfortunately they only allow payment by credit card or paypal, and when using paypal, it gets denied (most likely because it's still a canadian address)
