shit, super hard choice. AOC Q2963PM 29" ultrawide, 380$ - LG 34UM65 34" ultrawide, 600$. the 29" seems wide enough, but i can't help but feel that if i'm gonna go this route, i should go as wide as i can. the LG has 5" more and better build quality, but for 220$.  :o

Yeah well dt770 doesnt provide enough bass for my liking. So I need upgrade anyways :)

I'm gonna keep them for gaming though.

Looks like you're going to need the Audeze LCD-3 then lol.

I've heard many people say the LCD-3s ($1900) have the best bass of any headphone.

and if you want dat bass quantity then I guess Sony's X500/700s are the only way to go lol

LCD series may be good both bass and sq wise but the comfort is shit. That's why I've skipped all of them. If the comfort was good I might have considered them over the Fostex.

So you've tried and listened to them? Lucky mang, haven't had the pleasure.

I was pretty mind blown to "discover" experts saying the headphones with the best bass aree... open-back.

I've never heard STAX SR-009s for instance, but I imagine the bass not being nice and thumpy like some of us dubstep lovers like..

There are headphones that has more bass quantity, but when you want both quantity and quality bass they are great. Just so annoying that the comfort is bad :(((

I dont know about stax other than it's expensive as fuck :P

Those A9s are power-hungry speakers, and also support bi-amping. Due to the juice they like, you'd be much better off with a 7.1+ receiver that supports a bi-amp configuration (basically running two sets of speaker channels to each speaker instead of one). You'll get a much better sound profile that way, and no 5.1 receiver is going to be able to bi-amp.

So I have a receiver from the 90's idk how good it is or anything. But at one point in its life it was used in my barn an got bird shit and straw inside of it. I blew out all the crap and wiped it off. Is there anything else that I can do to make it more reliable and maybe even better the sound quality? It might be a pioneer or something. Iirc it's a $100 receiver back in the day. I wasn't to get it so that's reliable enough to use for calling coyotes.
