I would assume so as its used in the process of converting milk to the powdered cheese which they still use.
They actually mailed me a cheque like 9 years ago cause they couldn't answer me about another ingredient thats sourced from either plant/animal.
Then it was something else though. Pretty sure recent changes address other concerns like dyes/preservatives mostly cause it was connected with
a carcinogen to my recollection.
