My opinion of the market right now is you either
A ) stick with what you have and wait for OLED to lower in price
or
B ) try and find a decent plasma either new or used.
apart from that most LED TVs share the same panel and thus perform more or less the same, which isn't directly bad, but then again inferior to Panasonic and Samsung plasma TVs of 2013.
the cheapest OLED TV on the market in Norway is a 55" from LG which goes for about NOK 19 995,- or roughly $3300, which is extremely reasonable considering our electronics usually cost ~ 30% more than in the U.S.
No idea what it costs in America though
You live in Norway!? That's so bad ass. I want to go visit the Viking and Scandinavian lands.

I have Samsung plasma myself and I have been really satisfied on mine. It is smart tv but I have never used the smart options tho, so can't say much about them but I'd imagine they are pretty much same as on other manufacturers. I would look for 5500 or 8500 series plasma from Samsung.
My old man has a samsung plasma; hella nice.
