what's a few good TV options right now, for under a grand if possible, over 50", reliable, beautiful screen, etc..

my vizio 57" is starting to have issues with the wifi networking. gotta give it to it though, survived over 3 years now still with heavy use, and several moves.

that's what i was looking at last night. samsung plasma, either the 60" or 64", and they are very reasonably priced! anyone have experience with samsung's smart TV system? i've only used vizio's app system, can be a little slow and glitchy here and there.

My opinion of the market right now is you either

A ) stick with what you have and wait for OLED to lower in price

or

B ) try and find a decent plasma either new or used.

apart from that most LED TVs share the same panel and thus perform more or less the same, which isn't directly bad, but then again inferior to Panasonic and Samsung plasma TVs of 2013.

the cheapest OLED TV on the market in Norway is a 55" from LG which goes for about NOK 19 995,- or roughly $3300, which is extremely reasonable considering our electronics usually cost ~ 30% more than in the U.S.

No idea what it costs in America though
