They are worth the money. Back when I had a life I bought two bottom of the line 2WD 1/2 pickups.
Have to change the oil every 3500 miles.
Had to change the brakes at 80K miles and the plugs at 140K miles...that was it. :)

They were fast, rugged, nothing ever broke, and I was NOT nice to them.

Idk man, I'm with abduct on this one. I have a 5.9 Cummins and love it. Really we're just down to our personal preferences lol.

Both the 5.9 and the 7.3 were awesome engines. Makes more power than a Toyo would ever dream of making and the engines were basically bullet proof after a few mods (ex: the killer dowel pin fix on the pre '99 cummins, or the vp44 and lift pump replacements on the '00 and newer). I have a 7.3 sitting at just under 400hp 650-800tq at the wheels atm. I am looking for a 5.9 now though as a secondary truck.

So you're saying they all likely had sloppy as fuck front ends because you never changed any of the upper ball joints, control arm bushings, lower ball joints, etc.

Gotcha.

No. I am saying they didn't need to be changed, by the time I had reached 140K miles. Unlike American cars, which I love (especially muscle cars), instead of a roughly 160K lifetime on 90% of the parts...these Toyotas, have incredible lasting power.

In short, they are just better made vehicles. At least the '86's and the '90's were. In those years a well maintained Toyota would have a 600 - 700K miles lifespan, unlike the American car's 200K miles lifespan.

Seeing how most lower ball joints wear out at roughly 80-120k miles I call bullshit.

I'd be surprised if you could even point out any of these parts on a truck.

Timing belts for those vehicles go long before 100K also no matter how much service you do.

The Tundra are crap. They're made here south of San Antonio and I hear they do a shitty job at the factory. Something something something, Mexicans building trucks, something something.

Tundras are for those guys that hang out at Home Depot that also buy Black and Decker tools.
