Why would you carry a full size 1911 when it's not 45 acp

My main carry is a Springfield XDM .45 4.5" with night sights.

Got my 'eargasm' concert earplugs today.

put them in, cranked up my headphones stupid loud.


They work quite well... They bring the volume level down 12db, But doesnt affect the actual sound.
