Not really. Most of those cards have a good 3 year warranty and some are transferable.

Just cause something is "newer" doesn't make it worth the price.

That's like saying a new prius is better than a restored 67 mustang.

Why would a 980 Ti not have a warranty? Didn't they come out spring 2015?
