I was looking at your Speccy screenshot....

IF you have two sticks of RAM, then you have them in the wrong slots. It should say dual channel.

They should be in slots, 2 & 4 counting away from the CPU.

God, what a mess. Going to fix that right now... after that I have to figure out why my sound card is making all these feint, staticy sounds

Seems that it didn't like that advice

They are in the second and fourth counting away from the CPU. They were in the third and fourth prior to that. I think I remember my friend saying it was weird that it acted like that or something but that was a while back lol

Looks like you might have a dead memory channel possibly.

Try #1 & #3, See if that registers both sticks. If not, Try just #2, Then just #4.

I was tinkering around in the BIOS and it seems there was an issue with that third one. RIP

Put the RAM in slots 2 & 4 and make sure it's fully seated. That will be the BLUE slots.

These motherboards, only have RAM clips at one end, (the top), it's really easy to get them not fully seated.

If you can both sticks (one at a time) working in slot #2 (the blue slot closest to the CPU), and neither works in slot #4, then slot #4 is bad. But, I think you will find, that if you use a flashlight (LED), that they will work fine in slots 2 and 4.

Question: Are both sticks of RAM the same///exactly the same...manufacturer, frequency and timings?

/e Btw, great temps !!!!

Wow cpu temp dropped a lot.

I'm hoping to see similar drops on mine, my h60 will be here today or tomorrow. My case and mobo hover around 30 and cpu 35 at idle.

Yeah unless you live on the Arctic 12° is not going to happen with a consumer grade CPU cooler.

The core temp on an AMD processor, is logarithmic. Everyone already knows this, or at least I thought they did. Unfortunately, Speccy only shows the core temps, rather than the CPU package temp.

These for example are the temps of an FX-8350 on air...
