What software are you using? The newest SDR# sucks ass since some changes they made a while ago. I've been using older versions such as the 0.0.0 version. If you want a link I can upload a copy for you.

I'm just using the latest nightly build. I can receive like one channel on the FM band, and it's a local transmitter about .3 miles from here transmitting shitty spanish music all day long.

PMed you the link to the version I use. Might as well give it a try I find it worked way better then the stable release and the nightlies.

This is the version me and my radio group on IRC have been using. It works much better then the latest nightly.

Also the antenna is mostly made for higher frequencies. I noticed it works best in the 800->900mhz area.

If you can unscrew the antenna and wrap a 1 meter long piece of wire onto the threads and then screw the antenna back on. It should give you some better lower end frequencies.

Coded a quick and dirty mini map for my game. I am not sure if I am going to use it or not seeing as the map would be fairly small, you wouldn't need one, but it will be useful for the FPS I started a while back. I threw some quick textures on the map to test it and it has support for unlimited map blips.

For this game if I do decide to use it, it would be to track other players, other players pets, yourself (in the center of the map), and your pets in the world. Although I haven't made up my mind if I want to make this a online game or not. I may add a global/private chat system and item trading between players rather then a full blown you can see everyone in a single map kinda thing, because there wouldn't really be a point since I don't have plans to interact with other players pets yet.

I may follow the vindictus game model where players don't interact with each other in the overworld (meaning each player has a copy of the world that they own) besides from global/private chat/trading, and then create a match making system where it will throw people into the same dungeon together to play interactively.

i dabbled a bit in editing maps, but never went so far as to create them from scratch

they got warcraft 3 world editor to help, seems fairly basic world editor, most of the stuff is self explanatory.

No one plays wc3 any more.

Worked on some xbox hacking gear. I tried to see if I could source parts and produce a cheaper version of other peoples hardware but it didn't fair to well.

Basically it is a power supply to power the xbox DVD drive in order to flash it (you can use the console to power it but you risk getting flagged and possibly banned).

You need to supply 3.3v, 5v and 12v to the dvd drive. I would of used a molex connector to bring in 12v and 5v and used a lm1117n33 regulator to drop the 5v to 3.3v. From there you can simply hook the voltages up the proper pins on the xbox header connector, although I wanted to include a dvd tray ejector switch and a MODE-B switch.

I screwed up on the switches they are wired in wrong, but meh. After I realized it would cost me around $11-$14 per board (I have to make 10 if I'm going to ask a pcb fab shop to print them for me) and a regular board I can buy online with the same features is only $15-$20. So not only would I be eating the cost for the 9 other boards, I wouldn't be saving a hell of allot of money.

Now don't get this wrong, I was trying to make this look pretty. If I wanted to I could hack together the adapter with the voltages, not include the extra features, and throw it on a piece of protoboard for less than 5$, but I wanted something pretty :<
