LOL, I knew you were gonna say that. Here's the problem.

I have the Doom II CD. I know I can copy the whole CD to the folder. And then just use the command line in DOSbox to run the game, with a few other commands like the one for sound...etc.

The problem is, I have an old Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick. When I was running XP, installing (rather than mounting) Doom II was no problem...AND getting the joystick to work with Doom II was no problem.

However, neither works in Win 7.

What I would LIKE, is a program with a GUI, that will .....just run both with nothing but a few mouse clicks.

P.S. I also have another ID software CD with 1600 more levels for Doom II... which just complicates things even more.

You can try creating a bootable freedos cd (or I guess USB) and do that I guess.

It likely wont help your joystick.

If you can install the drivers or w/e and it is just the game not recognizing it, you could try xpadder (http://xpadder.com/?lang=english&country=US) which can map controllers/joysticks to keyboard controls.

I got the game to work...and the joystick to work, sort of. Under the Options in Doom II, I can adjust sensitivity etc., but it won't let me chose the controls on the joystick. May have to try something else.
