They say to let it rest on your tongue for 6 secs, to get a good idea of the taste, I have to do that for like 15 secs, before I can get ANY taste

I hope you're adding a splash of water to the glass. Otherwise it basically anesthetizes your tongue.

Ofc not, that would be a crime, these are NOT your everyday Scotch whiskeys. These are sipping whiskeys.

You're supposed to bring the alch % down to about 30%~

35-40%+ Numbs your taste buds, The difference is huge.

I'm just as serious, these whiskeys are very soft, can't even get the true flaovor till they sit on your tongue for a while....then it rushes out. Like the Glen Rothes I had before, after about 10-15 seconds, THEN you can taste what they describe in the descriptions...the Glen Rothes in particular, tasted like honeyed tea almost
