It has some pretty big heat pipes although that wouldn't really mean a whole lot. Their Dark Knight cooler is pretty insane so it probably could be better than 212. It should be as it's at ~50$ price mark.

The Hyper 212 EVO has 4 heat pipes...and the heatsink itself is 70 grams heavier, and it moves air at 82.9 cfm as opposed to the Xigmatec's 60 cfm, but the Xigmatec is a lot quieter according to Xigmatec
